At Northern Serenity Therapy and Wellness, I believe that every individual has the capacity for growth and change. The goal is to provide a safe and supportive space for individuals to explore their inner selves and overcome personal challenges. I seek to empower you to build on the skills and experiences you already bring to the table. We can walk through this journey together.
Experience
I am a registered psychotherapist (RP) with the CPRO (College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario) providing individual mental health therapy. I have experience working in community based mental health services providing crisis and therapy supports. I have extensive training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and online delivery.
Formal education: Masters degree in counselling psychology and honours bachelour of arts in psychology
Approach
My approach is holistic and collaborative. I work with clients to identify their goals and develop a personalized treatment plan that incorporates a variety of techniques, including CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness and of course, a little bit of humour. I use evidence-based therapies to help provide you with a tool box of skills you can use well beyond our time together is complete.
